History
WFUV (90.7 FM) is a non-commercial, public radio station licensed to Fordham University in The Bronx, New York City. The station is owned by Fordham University and operated by its independent student run organization, Fordham Radio. WFUV signed on for the first time on December 15, 1947. broadcasting mostly classical music programming. In the 1960s, the station shifted to a progressive rock format before eventually settling on an adult album alternative format in the late 1970s. WFUV is a charter affiliate of NPR, and is one of the highest-rated NPR stations in the New York metropolitan area. The station’s call letters stand for “Fordham University’s Voice.”
KCRW

KCRW (89.9 MHz FM) is a National Public Radio member station broadcasting from the campus of Santa Monica College in Santa Monica, California. The station is the flagship station of NPR for Greater Los Angeles and Southern California, and is one of two full-fledged NPR member stations in the Greater Los Angeles Area (the other being KPCC). KCRW airs original news and music programming in addition to programming from NPR and other public radio networks.
