The Lumineers- Ho Hey

The Lumineers are an American indie folk rock band based in Denver, Colorado. The band members are Wesley Schultz on guitar and lead vocals, Neyla Pekarek on cello and backing vocals, and Jeremiah Fraites on drums and percussion. The Lumineers rose to prominence in 2012 with their debut self-titled album, which produced the hit single “Ho Hey”. The album peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). In 2016, the Lumineers released their second album, Cleopatra.

The band’s music is based on Schultz’s and Fraites’ experiences growing up in New Jersey and Colorado. Their lyrics are written about Schultz’s and Fraites’ personal lives and relationships. The Lumineers draw influences from a wide range of genres, including punk rock, classic rock, country rock, and bluegrass.

Mumford and Sons- I Will Wait

“I Will Wait” is a song by British rock band Mumford & Sons. The song was released as the lead single from their second studio album, Babel, on August 7, 2012. The song peaked at number 16 on the UK Singles Chart and number four on the US Billboard Hot Rock Songs chart.

The music video was directed by Fred & Nick and premiered on August 7, 2012. The video features the band performing in various landscapes, including a wheat field, an abandoned barn, and a mountain range.

Of Monsters and Men- Little Talks

“Little Talks” is a song by Icelandic indie rock band Of Monsters and Men, taken as the lead single from their debut studio album My Head Is an Animal. The song was written by Of Monsters and Men, and produced by Argonaut&Wasp. It was released in Iceland on 10 June 2011, and later in Ireland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand. In North America, “Little Talks” was released on 3 July 2012 as part of an EP titled Into the Woods. The song peaked at number 11 on the US Billboard Alternative Songs chart.

The song is in the key of G-sharp major with a moderate slow tempo of 96 beats per minute. The verses alternate between G♯m–F♯–C♯m–D♯ chords while the chorus is C♯–G♯m–F♯–D♯. The intro and outro feature a riff played on a toy piano.

The Paper Kites- Bloom

The Paper Kites are an Australian indie folk–rock band that formed in 2010. The group consists of Sam Bentley, Christina Lacy, David Powys, Josh Bentley, and Sam Rasmussen.

The Paper Kites’ musical style has been described as “cinematic folk rock”. Their debut album States was released on 5 August 2012 and peaked at No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart and No. 3 on the ARIA Digital Albums Chart. A deluxe edition was issued on 4 October 2013, which included the 1969 cover version of Bob Dylan’s “The Weight” featuring lead vocals by Lacy. The group’s second album twelvefour was released on 7 August 2015 and debuted at No. 2. It included the singles “Electric Indigo” and “Reality Dream”.
