Having trouble shaking off the blues? Ball Park Music may have just the cure with their new album, Bad Taste Blues. The Aussie outfit is known for their catchy, upbeat tunes, and this record is no different. From the first track, “Good Grief”, to the anthemic “All I Want is You”, Bad Taste Blues is sure to put a spring in your step.

The Problem

The biggest problem with Ball Park Music is their complete and utter lack of subtlety. It’s one thing to write a flowery, over-the-top pop song about love or loss, but it’s another thing entirely to write a song that includes the lyrics “I wanna spend the night inside your ventricles.” The problem with Ball Park Music isn’t just that they’re trying too hard to be profound, it’s that they’re not even trying to be subtle.

The Solution

In order to combat the bad taste in your mouth, Ball Park Music recommends that you drink plenty of water and brush your teeth regularly. They also advise against eating certain foods that can cause bad breath, such as garlic and onion. If you are a smoker, quitting is the best way to eliminate tobacco breath.

The Result

After Bad Taste Blues, Ball Park Music had a newfound appreciation for their creative process and a more DIY approach to making music. The album was a commercial success, entering the ARIA Albums Chart at number 3 and being certified gold.
