Not only is B.B. King one of the most celebrated blues guitarists of all time, but he is also a national treasure. Born in Mississippi in 1925, King began his musical career in the 1940s and quickly rose to fame. He has released over 50 albums, many of which have gone gold or platinum, and he has won 15 Grammy Awards. In 1987, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and in 2006, he received the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Now in his 90s, B.B. King is still performing and touring regularly. He will be appearing at the B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in New York City on Memorial Day weekend, May 27-29. This is a rare opportunity to see a true legend in concert, so don’t miss it!
