Mark Ronson produced the song with his own band The Business Intl., which includes members Andrew Wyatt, Nick Movshon, Emile Haynie and Homer Steinweiss. “Uptown Funk” peaked at number one on eleven different charts, including for seven consecutive weeks in the United States, making it Mars’ second longest running number one single behind “Locked Out of Heaven”.
The song has been certified sextuple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and sold over 6 million copies in the United States by February 2015. It reached number one in Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Ireland, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
