Collective Soul, one of the most iconic and influential bands of the past two decades, is set to headline Marathon Music Works on May 5. The show will also feature special guests TBA.

History of the band

Collective Soul is an American rock band from Atlanta, Georgia. The band currently consists of singer/guitarist Ed Roland, rhythm guitarist Dean Roland, bassist Will Turpin, drummer Johnny Rabb and lead guitarist Jesse Triplett.

The band recorded and released their eponymous debut album in 1993. The album sold more than three million copies in the United States and produced five charting singles on the Billboard Hot 100, including the top-ten hits “Shine” and “December”.

The band’s second album, Dosage, was released in 1999 and debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. The album sold more than two million copies in the United States and produced four singles that reached the top-ten of the Hot 100 chart, including the number-one hit “The World I Know”.

During this time period, Collective Soul became one of the most successful rock bands of the 1990s. They achieved mainstream success with their third album, Blender (2000), which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The album produced three successful singles: “Gel”, “Better Now”, and “Blame”. Their fourth album, Youth (2004), entered into Billboard’s Top Heatseekers chart at No. 1 and peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard 200. This was followed by a greatest hits album, Home (2006), which spun off two top-twenty Hot 100 hit singles: “Home” and “Precious Declaration”. In October 2007, they released Afterwords, their fifth studio album since forming. It peaked at No. 8 on Billboard’s Top Holiday Albums chart in December 2007. New album

After a three-year hiatus, rock band Collective Soul is back with a new album and tour. The band will headline Marathon Music Works in Nashville on May 12.

The album, entitled See What You Started by Continuing, will be released on Vanguard Records on October 2. It is the band’s first album of new material since 2009’s self-titled release. The first single from the album, “Compliment,” was released to radio on August 12.

The tour will kick off on September 30 in Knoxville, Tennessee and will make stops in cities across the United States and Canada before wrapping up in Vancouver, British Columbia on November 15.

Collective Soul announced their winter 2019 tour dates in support of their ninth studio album, Riley. The trek kicks off on February 15th in Chattanooga, TN and will hit major markets like Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles before wrapping up on March 30th in Las Vegas.
