Def Leppard

Def Leppard is a British rock band formed in 1977 in Sheffield as part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement. The band’s strongest commercial success came between the early 1980s and the early 1990s. their 1981 album Pyromania has sold over 20 million copies worldwide, and its follow-up, Hysteria, has sold over 25 million copies. The group’s next studio album, Adrenalize (1992), reached number one in the UK and US.

The band have produced 13 original studio albums, ten of which have reached the US top 10, with two reaching number one. They have also had 69 UK top 40 singles – 32 of which have reached the top ten, six of which have reached number one – as well as 21 US top 40 singles – nine of which reached the top ten and one of which reached number one. They are one of only five rock bands with two original studio albums selling more than 10 million copies each in the US. The band were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in January 2005.

Bon Jovi

This American rock band from Sayreville, New Jersey, was formed in 1983 by lead singer and namesake Jon Bon Jovi. The band’s first album, Bon Jovi (1984), was released on the independent label Mercury Records. The group’s next three albums—New Jersey (1988), Keep the Faith (1992), and These Days (1995)—continued the band’s commercial success, reaching the top of the album charts in both the United States and Britain. Bon Jovi crossed over into the mainstream with the release of Slippery When Wet (1986), which featured such chart-topping singles as “You Give Love a Bad Name,” “Livin’ on a Prayer,” and “Wanted Dead or Alive.” In response to the increasingly grunge-influenced rock scene of the early 1990s, Bon Jovi incorporated more melody into their work with such albums as these days. Despite changes in popular music trends, the band maintained a large fan base and were one of the most commercially successful rock bands of the late 20th century. The group was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.

Journey

Journey is an American rock band that formed in San Francisco in 1973, composed of former members of the group Santana. The band has gone through several phases; its strongest commercial success occurred between 1978 and 1987. Journey enjoyed a resurgence in the early 2000s with the success of their 2001 album, “Arrival”.

Journey is one of the most popular bands of all time, selling nearly 100 million records worldwide. They have been nominated for 19 Grammy Awards, winning 6. They were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.

The band’s best-known lineup includes Steve Perry (vocals), Neal Schon (guitar), Jonathan Cain (keyboards), Ross Valory (bass) and Steve Smith (drums).

Boston

Boston is an American rock band from Boston, Massachusetts, that achieved their most notable successes during the 1970s and 1980s. Centered around guitarist, singer, and songwriter Tom Scholz, the band is a pioneer of the arena rock sound. The band’s best-known line-up included lead singer Brad Delp and bassist Fran Sheehan. Drummer Sib Hashian joined the band in 1975.

Boston’s 1976 debut album, Boston, was released to little fanfare but ultimately enjoyed great commercial success; more than 17 million copies have been sold in the United States alone. The album reached #3 on the Billboard 200 and spawned several hit singles, including “More Than a Feeling”, “Peace of Mind”, and “Long Time”. Second album Don’t Look Back (1978) was even more successful; it reached #1 on Billboards 200 and yielded another enduring classic in “Amanda”.

The band’s next two albums Third Stage (1986) and We’re Ready (1994) saw continued success and spawning additional hits such as “Can’tcha Say” (You Believe in Me)”, “A New World”, “I Need Your Love”, “To Be a Man”, Hole in My Soul”, walk On”, and I’d Rather Go Blind”. Since reuniting in 2007 after a nearly 20-year absence from recording new material or touring (apart from a performance with then-current Aerosmith vocalist Steven Tyler at their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as well as several reunion tours), Boston has released two albums of new material: Corporate America (2002) Life, Love & Hope (2013).
