Florida Georgia Line

Breaking into the country music scene in 2012 with their single “Cruise”, Florida Georgia Line has been on the top of the charts ever since. Comprised of Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, this duo captures the perfect blend of country and southern rock, which has made them a stand out in the country music genre.

Background

Florida Georgia Line is an American country music duo consisting of members Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley. They have achieved major success since their inception and are currently one of the most popular groups in country music.

The duo met in 2010 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, where they were both students. They began writing songs together and eventually made a demo tape which led to them being signed by Big Machine Label Group’s Republic Nashville division in December 2011. The following year, they released their first single, “Cruise”, which became a massive crossover hit, reaching number-one on both the US Country charts and the Billboard Hot 100. In 2012, they released their debut album, Here’s to the Good Times, which was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The duo’s second album, Anything Goes, was released in October 2014 and also sold very well, being certified platinum by the RIAA. It featured four more number-one singles: “Dirt”, “Sippin’ on Fire”, “Sun Daze”, and “Confession”. In 2016, they released their third album, Dig Your Roots. The album’s fourth single, “H.O.L.Y.”, reached number one on the Country Airplay chart in May 2017, becoming their eleventh overall chart topping single. Florida Georgia Line has also collaborated with several other artists including LUKE BRYAN, BEBE REXHA , BACKSTREET BOYS , TIM MCGRAW , JUSTIN BIEBER and JOHN LEGEND .

The year 2019 saw many new and exciting groups enter the country music scene. These groups bring a fresh sound and style to the genre, and they are sure to be around for many years to come. Here are some of the top country music groups of 2019.

Florida Georgia Line
This duo has been making waves in the country music world since their debut in 2012. They have released five studio albums, two of which have topped the charts. They are known for their catchy songs and high-energy live performances.

Maddie & Tae
This duo first burst onto the scene with their song “Girl in a Country Song”, which was a response to the objectification of women in country music. They have released two studio albums and have won several awards, including a Grammy.

Old Dominion
This group first gained popularity as a opening act for Brad Paisley. They have since released three studio albums, all of which have been very successful. They are known for their catchy songs and great harmonies.

Midland
This trio first gained attention with their song “Drinkin’ Problem”, which was a huge hit. They have released one studio album and are currently working on their second. They are known for their classic country sound and style.

Lady Antebellum

Lady Antebellum is an American country music trio. The group is composed of Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley, and Dave Haywood. Scott is the lead singer, Kelley is the lead guitarist, and Haywood is the bassist. The group formed in 2006 and released their self-titled debut album in 2008. The album was a commercial success, selling over five million copies.

Lady Antebellum is an American country music group formed in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2006. The group is composed of Hillary Scott (lead and background vocals), Charles Kelley (lead and background vocals, guitar), and Dave Haywood (background vocals, guitar, piano).

Scott is from Nashville, Kelley is from Augusta, Georgia, and Haywood is from Greenville, South Carolina. All three members of the group had previously recorded as solo artists; Scott and Kelley were part of Trio II with American bluegrass singer-songwriter Ricky Skaggs before the group’s foundation. The trio released six studio albums for Capitol Records Nashville between 2008 and 2014: Lady Antebellum, Need You Now, Own the Night, Golden 5× Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), 747 5× Platinum by the RIAA), Heart Break

(2017) 4× Platinum by the RIAA) and Ocean (2019). Their first album not to be produced by Dann Huff, Ocean was preceded by lead single “What If I Never Get Over You,” which became their thirty-second top 10 hit on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart in July 2019. Their eponymous 2007 album had three singles: “I Run to You”, “Love Don’t Live Here”, and “Lookin’ for a Good Time”, which were all Number One hits on Billboard Country Airplay. The album was certified quadruple platinum by the RIAA for shipments of four million copies in 2009. They won five Grammy Awards: Record of the Year and Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for “Need You Now”, Album of the Year for Need You Now

Lady Antebellum is an American country music trio formed in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2006. The group is composed of Hillary Scott (lead and background vocals), Charles Kelley (lead and background vocals, guitar), and Dave Haywood (background vocals, guitar, piano, mandolin).

Their musical style relies heavily on vocal harmonies and hooks. The trio first sang together during a radio station visit in Charleston, South Carolina. They released their self-titled debut album in April 2008. The album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales exceeding one million copies. It produced the number one singles “Love Don’t Live Here” and “Lookin’ for a Good Time”.

In 2010, they released their second album, Need You Now. It debuted at number one on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart and was certified quadruple platinum by the RIAA for sales of four million copies in the United States. It produced six singles: “Need You Now”, “American Honey”, “Our Kind of Love”, “Hello World”, “Just a Kiss”, and “We Owned the Night”. Their third album, Own the Night (2011), was certified double platinum by the RIAA and produced three more number one singles: “Just a Kiss”, “We Owned the Night”, and “Downtown”.

The band’s fourth album Golden debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart in 2013 and marks as their fourth consecutive album to do so. It includes five more number one singles: “Compass”, “Goodbye Town”, “Downtown”, “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Woman”, and”Lie with Me”. Their fifth albums 747 was released on September 30, 2014; it peaked at number two on Billboard 200 chart and produced threeTop 10 singles:  “Bartender”, “Freestyle” and “Long Stretch of Love”.

Lady Antebellum has won numerous awards including seven Grammy Awards: Record of the Year for Need You Now (2010) Song of the Year for  Need You Now (2010) Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for I Run to You(2010) Best Country Album for need You Now(2010) Best Country Song for Just a Kiss(2012) Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for Downtown(2013) Best Country Album for Golden(2014). They have also been honored by the Country Music Association Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards , American Music Awards , Billboard Music Awards , People’s Choice Awards among others . As of 2019 Rolling Stone has ranked them as 31ston their list of The 100 Greatest Artists of All Time-in Country Music .

Zac Brown Band is an American country music band formed in 2002, in Atlanta, Georgia. The lineup consists of Zac Brown (lead vocals, guitar), Jimmy De Martini (fiddle, vocals), John Driskell Hopkins (bass guitar, vocals), Coy Bowles (guitar, keyboards), Chris Fryar (drums), Clay Cook (guitar, keyboards, mandolin, steel guitar, vocals) and Daniel de los Reyes (percussion). The band has released eight studio albums, winning several awards, including three Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, fourteen Academy of Country Music Awards, eleven Country Music Association Awards, and one Billboard Music Award.

The band’s latest album, The Owl(2019), was released on September 20, 2019.

The band has toured extensively throughout North America and Europe. They have performed at music festivals including Austin City Limits Music Festival, Bonnaroo Music Festival, Lollapalooza and Stagecoach Festival. The band has also appeared on television shows such as Saturday Night Live, Good Morning America and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Zac Brown Band has won three Grammy Awards: Best New Artist in 2010, Best Country Album for Uncaged in 2013 and Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group for “My Old Man” in 2018. The band has also won two American Music Awards: Favorite Country Group in 2010 and Favorite Country Artist in 2013.

Little Big Town

Little Big Town is an American country music group. The group formed in 1998 and consists of four members; Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet, Kimberly Schlapman, and Jimi Westbrook. Their musical style is a blend of country music and pop music. They have released seven studio albums, of which three have been certified platinum or higher by the RIAA.

Founded in 1998, the group has comprised the same four members since its inception: Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet, Kimberly Schlapman, and Jimi Westbrook. Whence their musical career began in earnest in the early 2000s with the release of their debut album, Little Big Town achieved a string of hit singles and top-selling albums over the subsequent decade.

In 2010, they were nominated for Grammy Awards for Best Country Album and Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for “Hillbilly Bone”. Their fourth studio album Tornado was released on September 11, 2012. The group’s fifth studio album Pain Killer was released on October 21, 2014. On August 5, 2017, the group released their sixth studio album The Breaker. On April 5, 2019 they will release their seventh studio album Wanderlust.

Midland

Midland is a trio made up of Mark Wystrach, Cameron Duddy, and Jess Carson. The group released their first album in 2017, and their single “Drinkin’ Problem” reached the top of the Country charts. The group has been nominated for several awards, including a Grammy.

Background

Midland is an American country music group formed in 2016 in Dripping Springs, Texas. The band members are Mark Wystrach (lead vocals, guitar), Cameron Duddy (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Jess Carson (lead guitar, backing vocals).

The trio met in Dripping Springs, where Wystrach and Duddy were working on their musical careers, and Carson was attending high school. They quickly realized they had common musical influences and decided to form a band. Their first performance together was at a local honky-tonk called the Cotton Eyed Joe.

The band’s debut single, “Drinkin’ Problem”, was released in April 2017 and topped the Country Airplay chart in December 2017. The song’s success helped them land a record deal with Big Machine Records. Their debut album, On the Rocks, was released in September 2017. It includes the singles “Make a Little” and “Burn Out”.

Midland is an American country music group formed in 2016 in Dripping Springs, Texas. The band members are lead vocalist and bass guitarist Mark Wystrach, lead guitarist Jess Carson, and drummer Cameron Duddy. Signed to Big Machine Records in 2017, Midland made their debut with the single “Drinkin’ Problem”, which peaked at number one on Country Airplay and was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The song is included on the band’s self-titled debut album, which was released on September 22, 2017. “Make a Little” and “Burn Out” were also released as singles from the album; both peaked at number one on Country Airplay.

Midland was nominated for New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year at the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards.
