Blake Shelton – If I’m Honest

Blake Shelton’s tenth studio album, If I’m Honest, was released in 2016 and debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart. The album includes the hit singles “Came Here to Forget” and “A Guy with a Girl”, both of which reached number one on the Country Airplay chart.

Keith Urban – Ripcord

Keith Urban’s much-anticipated album Ripcord has finally arrived, and it’s full of the country-pop anthems and soulful ballads that fans have come to expect from the Australian superstar. From the soaring lead single “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16” to the heart-wrenching “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” there’s something for everyone on this diverse album. And with guest appearances from Carrie Underwood, Pitbull, and Nile Rodgers, Ripcord is sure to be one of the year’s biggest releases.

Dierks Bentley – Black

Black is the eighth studio album by American country music artist Dierks Bentley. It was released on May 27, 2016, through Capitol Nashville. The album’s lead single, “Somewhere on a Beach”, was released to radio on February 8, 2016 and reached number one on the Country Airplay chart in May 2016. “Can’t Be Replaced” and “Pick Up” were released as the album’s second and third singles respectively.

Florida Georgia Line – Dig Your Roots

With their highly-anticipated third album, Dig Your Roots, Florida Georgia Line revisits their humble beginnings and let fans in on what shaped them into the musicians they are today. The album’s first single, “H.O.L.Y.,” became an instant hit, making history as FGL’s 14th consecutive #1 song on the Country Airplay chart.

FGL is composed of Tyler Hubbard (from Monroe, Georgia) and Brian Kelley (from Ormond Beach, Florida). The two met at Belmont University in Nashville and began writing songs together, eventually signing with Big Machine Label Group’s Republic Nashville imprint in December 2011. They released their debut album, Here’s to the Good Times, in December 2012 and it went on to sell over 5 million copies worldwide. The album produced seven chart-topping singles: “Cruise,” “Get Your Shine On,” “Round Here,” “Stay,” “This Is How We Roll [feat. Luke Bryan],” “Dirt [feat. Jason Derulo] ,” and “Sun Daze . ”

FGL released their sophomore album anything goes in October 2014. It debuted at #1 on Billboard Top 200 all-genre chart and set a record for the biggest first week sales by a duo with 134K sold in its first week . The album featured four #1 hits– “Anything Goes [feat. Jason Derulo],” “ sunN# y : w3ather , Fine Line , Sippin On Fire . Anything Goes was nominated for Album of the Year at the ACM Awards and CMA Awards . FGL won Top Vocal Duo at the ACM Awards three years in a row ( 2015 – 2017 ) as well as Duo of the Year at the CMA Awards in 2015 .

The duo has toured with some of music’s biggest names including Luke Bryan , Jason Aldean , Taylor Swift , Blake Shelton , Brooks & Dunn , Backstreet Boys , Fleetwood Mac and more . They have headlined five sold – out arena tours–the Here’s To The Good Times Tour (2013), Anything Goes Tour (2014-15), Dig Your Roots Tour ( 2016 ), Smooth Tour (2017) and the just – announced Can’t Say I Ain’t Country Tour (2019).

Zac Brown Band – Jekyll + Hyde

If you’re a fan of Zac Brown Band, then you were probably eagerly anticipating the release of their fourth studio album Jekyll + Hyde. The album, which was released on April 28, 2015, did not disappoint. The album debuted at number one on both the US Billboard 200 and the Top Country Albums chart, selling 228,000 copies in its first week.

Jekyll + Hyde is a departure from Zac Brown Band’s previous sound, incorporating elements of electronic dance music and rap. The album’s lead single, “Homegrown”, was a huge success, spending four weeks at number one on the Country Airplay chart. Other stand-out tracks include “Heavy is the Head” (featuring Chris Cornell), “Bittersweet”, and “Beautiful Drug”.

On the Horizon

There’s a lot of great country music being released in 2017. Here are a few of the best albums that are coming out this year.

Chris Stapleton – From A Room: Volume 1

May 5th is the release date for the follow up album to Chris Stapleton’s 2015 breakout album Traveller. The new album, entitled From A Room: Volume 1, takes its name from RCA’s historic Studio A on Music Row in Nashville, TN, where it was recorded. The album will feature 9 songs, all co-written by Stapleton and recorded with his longtime band – drummer J.T. Cure and bassist Chris Maresh. In addition to the three band members, Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb served as engineer and mixer for the project.

If the success of Traveller is any indication of what’s to come with From A Room: Volume 1, fans are in for a treat. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and went on to sell over 1.2 million copies, making it the best-selling debut album by a country artist in 2015. It also garnered Stapleton 5 Grammy nominations (including Album of the Year and Best Country Album) and 3 wins (Best Country Solo Performance, Best Country Song, and Best Country Album).

Shania Twain – Now

Shania Twain’s first album in 15 years, Now, is set for release on September 29th. The highly anticipated album features 16 new tracks, including the lead single “Life’s About to Get Good.” Twain has said that the new album is about “rediscovering yourself after going through hard times.”

Brett Eldredge – self-titled

Filled with the joy and happiness that made his 2013 debut a runaway success, Brett Eldredge’s self-titled album will be released on August 4th. The first single “Somethin’ I’m Good At” is currently climbing the charts and bringing Eldredge’s soulful vocals and irresistible beats to country radio. With 11 new tracks that are sure to get your toes tapping, this album is one you won’t want to miss.
