Flume – Skin

Flume is the self-titled debut studio album by Australian electronic musician Flume. It was released on 9 November 2012, by Future Classic. The album peaked at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart and number ten on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart in the United States.

The album was nominated for Best Dance/Electronica Album at the 2013 Grammy Awards, and won Best Dance Release and Best Independent Release at the 2013 ARIA Music Awards. The album’s lead single, “Holdin On”, peaked at number 12 on the ARIA Singles Chart.

Zeds Dead

Zeds Dead is a Canadian electronic music duo from Toronto, Ontario. Consisting of HD and DC, the duo met in 2004 and have been producing and performing together since 2009. They rose to prominence in the dubstep and bass music community with their 2010 single “Eyes on Fire”, and have released two albums, Fresh Blood and Northern Lights.

In 2015, Zeds Dead released two EPs, Somewhere Else and Collapse, as well as a number of singles. They collaborated with DJ Snake on the single “You Know”, which was a top-10 hit in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. They also worked withmeme on the track “frontlines”, which was featured in the soundtrack for the video game Gears of War 4.

Seven Lions

Jeff Montalvo, better known by his stage name Seven Lions, is an American DJ, record producer and musician from Santa Barbara, California. He produces a diverse style of electronic music which he describes as “melodic dubstep” and often includes elements of trance, drum & bass and glitch hop. He has released five studio albums, four as Seven Lions and one as Jeff Montalvo. His 2013 single “Days to Come” peaked at number two on the Billboard Dance/Club Play Songs chart in October 2013.

Montalvo was classically trained in piano starting at age eight. He cites video game music composer Nobuo Uematsu and film score composer Hans Zimmer as his early inspirations. After high school he became interested in electronic music production after hearing Gareth Emery’s Northern Lights album in 2010. Within a few months of attending college he had uploaded several tracks to SoundCloud which caught the attention of Skrillex who then asked him to remix his single “Stranger”. The track was released on Beatport on December 20, 2011 and ranked in the top 10 for several weeks.

In February 2012, Montalvo created the alias Seven Lions as a reference to the mythological creature from English folklore with the intention of representing his musical amalgamation of styles including trance, melodic dubstep, glitch hop and drum & bass. That same month he won a competition sponsored by Beatport and Coca-Cola which awarded him a spot performing at EDC Las Vegas 2012 alongside TiĆ«sto, Skrillex and Calvin Harris. Later that year he released the singles “Days to Come” featuring Fiora and “Tyven” featuring Satica which both peaked at number two on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart. His debut extended play The Truth was released on April 16, 2013 followed by a second EP titled Worlds Apart on July 23, 2013. In November 2013 he embarked on his first headlining North American tour with support frompegboard Nerdsand Krewella which spanned 30 dates across the United States and Canada.

The Chainsmokers

The Chainsmokers are an American DJ and production duo consisting of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall. Their 2014 song “#Selfie” went viral on YouTube, reaching number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2015, they released their debut EP, Bouquet, featuring the single “Roses”, which peaked at number 8 on the Hot 100.
