It’s a new year, which means it’s time to start thinking about which music artists you need to keep an eye on in 2014. While there are always plenty of big names to watch out for, there are also plenty of up-and-coming artists who are poised to make a big splash this year. Here are 10 electronic music artists to watch in 2014.

1) Disclosure

The UK duo of Howard and Guy Lawrence have had a breakout year in 2013, and they’re only going to get bigger in 2014. Their debut album, Settle, was one of the most acclaimed dance records of the year, and their singles “White Noise” and “Latch” have both been massive hits. With a sound that blends classic house with more modern pop sensibilities, Disclosure is sure to be one of the biggest names in electronic music this year.


CHVRCHES is another UK act that is taking the world by storm. The trio burst onto the scene earlier this year with their excellent debut album, The Bones of What You Believe. With a unique blend of synth-pop and indie rock, CHVRCHES is quickly making a name for themselves as one of the most exciting new bands around. Australian producer Flume had a big 2013, thanks in part to his self-titled debut album, which was released to critical acclaim back in May. 4) Darkside

Darkside is the collaborative project of Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington, two New York-based musicians who are currently riding high on the success of their excellent 2013 album Psychic. With its mix of spacious electronics and organic instrumentation, Psychic was one of the most intriguing and innovative albums released last year, and Darkside is sure to build on that success in 2014. Disclosure is the English electronic music duo consisting of brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence. The siblings grew up in Reigate, Surrey. Their debut album, Settle, released on 3 June 2013 through PMR Records, reached number one on the UK Albums Chart.

In 2012, they announced a series of live shows, supporting Dutch producer Mr. Probz. The brothers have also remixed tracks for several artists such as Jessie Ware, AlunaGeorge and Hot Chip.


Dusky is a London-based duo made up of Nick Harriman and Alfie Granger-Howell. The pair met while studying at university, and they’ve been making music together ever since.

Dusky’s music is hard to categorize, but it’s often described as a mix of deep house, techno, and garage. Whatever you call it, there’s no denying that Dusky makes some of the most exciting and innovative electronic music around.

Gorgon City

Ten Walls

Lithuania-based producer Marijus Adomaitis, better known by his stage name Ten Walls, is an artist to watch in 2014. After a string of successful singles, he released his debut album, “Queen”, in August 2013. The album entered the Lithuanian Albums Chart at number one and spawned the hit single, “Walking with Elephants”.


Wilkinson is a British electronic music artist who rose to prominence with his 2013 single “Afterglow”, which charted at number 3 on the UK Singles Chart. He has since released a number of singles, including “Half Light” and “Need to Know”, and his debut album Lazers Not Included was released in October 2013. Wilkinson’s music has been described as a cross between drum and bass, dubstep, and house, and he has been praised for his use of melody and emotion in his work.
