Headlong’s We Will Rock You Musical is a rock musical based on the songs of Queen. The show tells the story of a group of Bohemians who fight against the conformity of the Globalsoft corporation.

“We Will Rock You” is a rock musical based on the songs of British rock band Queen with a book by Ben Elton. The musical tells the story of a group of Bohemians who struggle to restore the free exchange of thought, fashion, and live music in a distant future where everyone dresses, thinks and acts the same.

The musical includes such Queen hits as “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “We Are the Champions”, “Somebody to Love”, and, of course, “We Will Rock You”.

“We Will Rock You” is a musical based on the songs of British rock band Queen with a book by Ben Elton. The musical tells the story of a group of Bohemians who fight against an evil Globalsoft Corporation that has killed rock music and wants to control the thoughts of all young people. With the help of a fellow Bohemian and an unborn star, they help to save rock music and inspire the world.

The main character in We Will Rock You is Galileo Figaro, a disenfranchised teenager who is searching for something more in life. He joins a group of rebels known as the ” Bohemians” who are fighting against the reigning monarchy, the “weird and wonderful” Globalsoft Corporation. The Bohemians are led by the charismatic and idealistic Brit. Together, they fight for freedom of expression and the right to rock!

Other characters include:

-Killer Queen: The ruthless leader of Globalsoft Corporation. She will stop at nothing to crush the Bohemians and keep everyone in line.

-Brian May: A founding member of Queen, Brian May is now an all-powerful rock god who has been abducted by Globalsoft and is being held captive in theirsecret laboratory. His guitar skills are key to the rebellion’s plans…

-Freddie Mercury: The late, great queen frontman makes a posthumous appearance as Galileo’s guide and protector. He helps Galileo find his true purpose in life and fight for the freedom to rock!

The Plot

“Headlong” is a musical based on the songs of British rock band Queen. The plot revolves around a group of rebels who are trying to save rock and roll from being destroyed by an evil corporation. The musical features several of Queen’s most popular songs, including “We Will Rock You,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” and “Somebody to Love.”

The Set

The set is designed to take the audience on a journey through time, following the progress of rock music from its very beginnings in the 1950s through to the present day.

The show opens with a scene set in a 1950s high school gym, where a group of rebellious teenage girls are listening to rock music on their transistor radios. As they dance, they are transformed into some of the most iconic figures in rock history, including Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, and Joan Jett.

As the show progresses, we see scenes set in different eras, including the 1960s British Invasion, the glam rock era of the 1970s, and the MTV era of the 1980s. Each scene features iconic songs from each era, performed by a live band.

The show culminates in a spectacular finale set in the present day, where we see Queen’s legendary concert at Live Aid in 1985.

The Costumes

The production of We Will Rock You musical features an abundance of costumes which creates the unique look and feel of the show. Many of the costumes are made from recycled materials, such as t-shirts and jeans, which gives the show a punk rock edge. The show also features a number of custom-made pieces, such as the Union Jack dress worn by Killer Queen.

The Choreography

The stage is filled with a huge number of dancers for the finale, and they perform highly complicated and energetic moves. This is where the majority of the pyrotechnics are used, with numerous explosions going off around the stage. Strobes are also used extensively in this section, making it one of the brightest and most strobe-heavy sections in the entire show.

The Music

The original score is by British rock band Queen with Ben Elton. The musical contains twenty-four of Queen’s greatest hits. The We Will Rock You soundtrack was released on May 28, 2002, and entered the UK Album Chart at number two. In 2003, the album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album.
