#5: DJ Tiesto- Club Life: Volume Two Miami

This album by Dutch DJ and producer Tijs Michiel Verwest, better known as Tiƫsto, is the fifth best house music album of 2012. Released in May of that year, Club Life: Volume Two Miami is a two-disc mix album consisting of thirty-nine tracks. It peaked at #1 on the U.S. Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart and #5 on the UK Dance Albums chart.

#4: Armin van Buuren- A State of Trance Year Mix 2012

This is a compilation album by Dutch DJ and record producer Armin van Buuren. It was released on 26 November 2012 by Armada Music. The album includes a mix of the year’s biggest trance hits and van Buuren’s own productions and remixes.

A State of Trance Year Mix 2012 received generally positive reviews from music critics. AllMusic’s David Jeffries praised van Buuren for creating “a more blissful, dreamy sound” with the album and called it “well worth acquiring.” Similarly, Leroy Powell of PopMatters wrote that the album is “essential listening for any fan of trance music” and that it “should be required listening for anyone interested in electronic dance music.”

This is the third studio album by Swedish house music supergroup Swedish House Mafia. The album was released on October 22, 2012 to mixed reviews. However, the album was a commercial success, debuting at number two on the UK Albums Chart and number one on the Dance/Electronic Albums chart in the United States.

#2: Avicii- True

The second best house music album of 2012 is Avicii’s True. Released in September of 2013, the album features the hit singles “Wake Me Up” and “Hey Brother”. While the album received mixed reviews from critics, fans of Avicii and house music alike praised the album for its catchy melodies and production values.

#1: Hardwell- Hardwell Presents Revealed Volume 4

This is the fourth compilation album by Dutch DJ and record producer Hardwell. It was released on 6 December 2012 through his own label Revealed Recordings. The album features twenty-six tracks, including Hardwell’s own “Spaceman” which became a major hit single around the world.

Zedd’s debut studio album features thirteen tracks, including the lead single “Clarity” which peaked at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart in the United States. The album also includes the singles “Spectrum” and “Shave It Up”.
