Jack’s upbringing

Jack was born into a family of classical musicians in the early 80s. His father was a cellist and his mother a violinist. They met in college and started a family shortly after graduating. From an early age, Jack was exposed to classical music. He started taking piano lessons when he was five years old and continued playing throughout his childhood. However, it wasn’t until he was a teenager that he started listening to heavy metal music.

Jack’s family

Jack’s family was not particularly musical, but his older brother was a big fan of heavy metal music. He would often blast bands like Metallica and Megadeth from his bedroom, and Jack would listen from his room next door. He found the music intriguing and gradually became more and more interested in it.

Eventually, he started buying his own CDs and going to concerts with his brother. He loved the energy and excitement of the music, and it quickly became his favorite genre. Today, he is a huge fan of metal music, and he has even started his own band!

Jack’s friends

Jack’s friends were the ones who got him into heavy metal music. They would go to concerts together and listen to metal albums at each other’s houses. Jack grew to love the music and soon became a huge fan of the genre. He has even been to some of the biggest metal festivals in the world.

Jack’s musical influences

Jack’s dad was a big fan of heavy metal music and he would always blast it in the house. As a result, Jack grew up listening to bands like Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer. He loved the way the music made him feel; it was aggressive and empowering. When he was a teenager, he started going to concerts and festivals with his friends. That’s how he really got into the scene.

Jack’s older brother

When Jack was younger, his older brother used to listen to a lot of heavy metal music. Jack would often listen to the music with him and gradually developed a liking for it. His older brother introduced him to many different bands and eventually, Jack started listening to heavy metal music exclusively. Over the years, he has become a big fan of the genre and has even started attending concerts and festivals.

Jack’s favorite TV show

My favorite TV show when I was younger was Beavis and Butt-Head. It was hilarious, and I loved the fact that they were always listening to metal music. I’m not sure if that’s what got me interested in the genre, or if it was just something I naturally gravitated towards, but either way, I’ve been a fan ever since.

I remember being in high school and my friends and I would go to concerts all the time. We’d see bands like Metallica, Slipknot, Korn, and Marilyn Manson. Those were some of the best times of my life. And even now, as an adult, I still enjoy listening to metal music. It’s always been a big part of my life.

One day, Jack’s brother invited him into his room to listen to metal music together. From then on, Jack was hooked on heavy metal music.

Jack’s first concert

Jack’s first concert was at the local pub when he was 14 years old. The headliner was a band called “Wasted Youth” and they were playing covers of Metallica and Slayer songs. Jack had never heard of either of those bands before, but he thought the music was really cool. After that, he started buying CDs by those bands and getting into heavier and heavier music.

Jack’s first album

Jack’s first album was ” Ride the Lightning” by Metallica. He bought it because he liked the cover art, and he loved it from the first listen. Jack’s current favorite band is Parkway Drive. They are an Australian metalcore band from Byron Bay, New South Wales, formed in 2003. As of 2018, Parkway Drive has released six studio albums, one EP, two DVDs, a split album and one book, titled Ten Years of Parkway Drive. The band’s 2010 album Deep Blue debuted at number 1 on the ARIA Charts, making them the first Australian hard rock or metal band to do so. Their 2014 release Ire reached number 2 on both the US Billboard 200 and the ARIA Charts.

Lead vocalist Winston McCall said about the early days of the band: “We just wanted to make really heavy music that we enjoyed listening to and we were influenced by a really diverse range of stuff… It was everything from Converge to Nine Inch Nails to Metallica”.

Despite the pandemic, Jack plans to see more concerts when they resume. He’s hoping to see some of his favorite bands, including Metallica, Iron Maiden, and Slipknot. He’s also looking forward to discovering new bands and enjoying the live music experience.
