The Awards are voted on by a select group of international music journalists, broadcasters, executives and critics. This year’s Awards will be taking place on Friday, October 13, 2017, at the Melia Braco Village Resort in Trelawny, Jamaica.

The Awards Show

The show is an annual event that is held in various locations around the world. It is hosted by a different host each year. The awards are given out in a number of categories, with the winner being determined by a vote of the members of the International Reggae and World Music Awards Academy.

Damian “Junior Gong” Marley was the big winner at the International Reggae and World Music Awards, held on Sunday (May 6) at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in New York. The Jamaican superstar took home the awards for Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year.
