The Latin Billboard Music Awards is an annual American music award ceremony that recognizes the top-performing songs in Latin music, as determined by Billboard magazine. The awards are given out in the following categories: Top Latin Albums, Latin Pop Albums, Hot Latin Songs, Latin Rhythm Songs, Tropical Songs, and Regional Mexican Songs. The first ever Latin Billboard Music Awards ceremony was held on October 6, 1994.

The Billboard Tropical Albums chart is a record chart published by Billboard magazine. The tropical albums chart began as a snapshot tabulation in June 1985. Based on airplay figures reported by radio stations playing Latin music, it was the first album sales-based Latin music chart in the United States. The tropical albums chart is ranked by sales according to Nielsen SoundScan, with Online sales figures included since February 2005. Since October 2012, the tropical albums chart publishes 25 positions each week and includes streams.
