Shakira – La La La

Shakira – La La La is a 2014 Latin pop song recorded by Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira for her tenth studio album, Shakira (2014). The song was released on May 27, 2014, by RCA Records as the fourth single from the album. It features guest vocals from Brazilian singer Carlinhos Brown. “La La La” is a Latin pop and reggaeton song with instrumentation consisting in horn stabs, suggestive lyrics and a bouncy beat. Music critics lauded the song for its production and Shakira’s vocal performance. Commercially, “La La La” peaked at number three on the US Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart and number one on the US Latin Airplay chart. In Europe, it topped the charts in Spain and peaked within the top five in France, Italy and Romania. In Oceania, it reached number one in New Zealand while peaking within the top five in Australia.

The accompanying music video for “La La La” was shot by Jaume de la Iguana during April 2014 in Barcelona, Spain. It shows Shakira dancing bodily around Barcelona while Brown appears playing percussion instruments during a segment of the video. The clip garnered generally positive reviews from music critics who praised Shakira’s sensuality. To promote “La La La”, Shakira performed it live on several television shows including The Voice UK and Alan Carr: Chatty Man.

Ricky Martin – Vida

Ricky Martin’s “Vida” is one of 2014’s best Latin music hits. The song is a catchy and feel-good track that celebrates life. It topped the Billboard Latin songs chart and was certified double platinum in Spain.

Enrique Iglesias – Bailando

Enrique Iglesias is a Spanish singer, songwriter, actor and record producer. He is widely regarded as the King of Latin Pop. His career has spanned more than two decades and he has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling Spanish artists ever.

Bailando is a song by Enrique Iglesias from his tenth studio album Sex and Love (2014). The song features Descemer Bueno and Gente de Zona. Bailando peaked at number 12 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the US Hot Latin Songs chart. It also became Iglesias’ first number-one single in the United Kingdom.

Carlos Vives – Volvi A Nacer

“Volvi A Nacer” (English: I Was Born Again) is a song recorded by Colombian singer Carlos Vives, from his fourteenth studio album Corazón Profundo (2013). It was released as the third single from the album on September 10, 2013. “Volvi A Nacer” peaked at number one on the US Hot Latin Songs chart and at number one on the Billboard Latin Airplay chart. The single also became Vives’ second consecutive number-one hit on the US Tropical Songs chart. In 2014, the song won two Latin Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Jesse & Joy – Corre

Released in 2011, “Corre” is a pop song by Mexican duo Jesse & Joy. The song was written by the duo, along with Edgar Barrera and Conor Reichhold, and produced by Barrera. It is the second single from their album ¿Con Quién Se Queda El Perro?.

The song peaked at number one on the Billboard Latin Songs chart in 2012. It also won the Latin Grammy Award for Song of the Year in 2013.

Alejandro Sanz – La Fuerza del Destino

Alejandro Sanz’s “La Fuerza del Destino” is one of the best Latin music hits of 2014. The song is a ballad about a couple’s tumultuous relationship. Sanz’s powerful vocals and the emotive lyrics make “La Fuerza del Destino” a moving listening experience.

Gloria Trevi – 30 Segundos

Gloria Trevi’s “30 Segundos” was one of the biggest hits of 2014. The song topped the Latin music charts and was a huge hit with Trevi’s fans.

Mana – Mi Verdad

“Mi Verdad” is a song by Mexican rock band Maná. It was released on March 10, 2014, as the lead single from their thirteenth studio album, Cama Incendiada. The song peaked at number one on the US Billboard Latin Songs chart, becoming the band’s fifth number-one single on the chart. “Mi Verdad” also peaked at number one on the US Latin Pop Songs and US Tropical Songs charts.

Wisin – Adrenalina

Adrenalina is a song recorded by Puerto Rican rapper-singer Wisin, featuring American singer Jennifer Lopez and Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin. The track was written by Johnson, Lopez, Omar Flores, Wisin, and George Meña, while production was handled by Solar and GabyMusic. It was released on February 12, 2014 as the leading single from Wisin’s second studio album El Regreso del Sobreviviente (2014).

J. Balvin – Tranquila

“Tranquila” is a song by Colombian reggaeton recording artist J. Balvin. It was released on May 19, 2013 through Capitol Latin, after Balvin uploaded the song to his official YouTube channel on May 14, 2013. The song was written by Balvin, Alvaro Osorio, José Osorio and Daniel Arenas, while production was handled by Sky and Afro Bros.

The song peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart in the United States and number two on the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart. In 2014, “Tranquila” received a Latin Grammy Award nomination for Best Urban Song.
