Wiz Khalifa

Wiz Khalifa is an American rapper, singer & songwriter. He is best known for his debut album, “Rolling Papers”. Wiz Khalifa has won several awards, including two Grammy nominations. In 2012, he won the MTV Africa Music Award for Best Hip Hop.

Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick Lamar was the big winner at the 2015 MTV Africa Music Awards, taking home three awards, including Best Hip Hop.

The awards were held in Johannesburg, South Africa on Saturday, October 3, 2015. Kendrick Lamar won Best Hip Hop, Best Video for “Alright” and Artist of the Year. He beat out Wizkid, Davido, Yemi Alade and AKA for the Artist of the Year award.

In the Best Hip Hop category, Kendrick Lamar won over AKA, Cassper Nyovest, M.I., Wizkid and Drake. The award for Best Video went to “Alright” directed by Colin Tilley.

MTV Africa Music Awards: Best Hip Hop is an award presented at the MTV Africa Music Awards to the best hip hop artist or group originating from the African continent. The award was first presented in 2010.

J. Cole is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer. Born on a military base in Germany and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Cole initially gained recognition as a rapper following the release of his debut mixtape, Cole World: The Sideline Story, in 2011.
