In a year that saw the release of some truly amazing music videos, it was hard to narrow it down to just ten. But we did it! Here are our picks for the best music videos of 2018.

Number one on our list is Kendrick Lamar’s “All the Stars”, which was released as part of the Black Panther soundtrack. The video is an absolutely gorgeous visual feast, with stunning imagery that perfectly complements Lamar’s powerful lyrics.

Next up is Childish Gambino’s “This Is America”, which sparked a lot of conversation when it was released in May. The video is a shocking and powerful commentary on race relations in America, and it’s sure to be remembered for years to come.

Tecno Musica 2018 was a great year for music lovers! We saw a lot of great new music come out, and there were plenty of amazing performances to enjoy. Here are our picks for the best of the year in music.

Best New Artist:

This year, we saw some great new artists emerge onto the scene. Our favorite new artist of 2018 is J Balvin. He released his debut album, “Vibras,” in May of 2018, and it quickly rose to the top of the charts. His unique blend of reggaeton, trap, and pop made him a stand-out amongst other new artists this year. Not to mention, he had one of the best songs of the summer with “Mi Gente.” We’re excited to see what he has in store for 2019!

Best Album:

There were so many great albums released this year, but our favorite has to be Cardi B’s “Invasion of Privacy.” This album was everything we could have hoped for and more from Cardi. It’s funny, sexy, and most importantly, it’s real. Cardi B is quickly becoming one of the most dominant forces in music, and we can’t wait to see what she does next.

Best Song:

This was a tough category to narrow down, but we ultimately decided on “Taki Taki” by DJ Snake featuring Selena Gomez, Ozuna, and Cardi B. This song is an absolute banger, and it perfectly sums up 2018: a little bit of everything for everyone. We’re already looking forward to hearing it again next year!
