Produced by John Thomas with Executive Producer Robert Abele, the project was honored with a 2011 Peabody Award.

The American Music Awards

The American Music Awards show is an annual event created by Dick Clark in 1973. The show features live performances and awards presentations in various genres of music, as voted on by the public. Winners are announced in December, and the show is traditionally broadcast live on ABC.

This year, the American Music Awards will be held on Sunday, November 20th at 8pm ET / 7pm CT. The show will be broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
