“Sorry” is a song recorded by Canadian singer Justin Bieber for his fourth studio album, Purpose (2015). The song was released on October 23, 2015 as the second single from the album. “Sorry” is a dancehall and synth-pop song. The song was produced by Skrillex and Blood, with additional production being done by Justin Bieber himself and Bardur Haberg. It was written by Justin Bieber, Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter, Sonny Moore and Michael Tucker with the latter two also producing the track. Lyrically, “Sorry” is a remorseful plea for forgiveness with theories abound as to whom Bieber is asking forgiveness from; it has been speculated to refer to his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez.
