New Hip Hop Music Downloads to Check Out

Music lovers always have a lot to look forward to in the hip hop genre, with new releases coming out all the time. This week, there are several new hip hop music downloads that are definitely worth checking out. Here are just a few of the hottest new tracks that you can find.

Kendrick Lamar – “The Heart Part 4”

Kendrick Lamar has been relatively quiet since the release of his last album, “To Pimp A Butterfly,” in 2015, but he’s back with a new track called “The Heart Part 4.” The song is a departure from Kendrick’s usual style, with a heavier focus on beats and melody than on lyrics. Kendrick also drops some references to current events, including Donald Trump and the election. “The Heart Part 4” is available for download now on iTunes and Google Play.

Big Sean – “Bounce Back”

After a trying 2016, Big Sean comes out swinging on his first track of the year. The G.O.O.D. Music MC had some good moments last year—most notably being featured on West’s “Ultra Light Beams” and guesting on Jhené Aiko’s “While We’re Young”—but he also went through a very public break-up with fiancée Naya Rivera and the death of his grandfather. On “Bounce Back,” though, Sean Don is in full attack mode, coming with a laser-focused flow over an ominous piano-laden beat from Hit-Boy and Sharpe James.

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie – “My Shit”

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s new single “My Shit” is a smooth, laid-back track that showcases his melodic flows and clever lyricism. The song is produced by D Stackz and features some haunting vocals from singer Trap Manny. “My Shit” is the lead single from A Boogie’s upcoming album The Bigger Artist, which is set to drop on September 29th.

Playboi Carti – “Magnolia”

If you’re a fan of what has been dubbed “mumble rap,” then you need to check out Playboi Carti’s debut album Die Lit. The album, which was released in early May of 2018, features the single “Magnolia.”

The music video for “Magnolia” was released on the same day as the album and quickly racked up over 10 million views on YouTube. The song itself is a catchy bop that will have you nodding your head along with the beat. And if you’re looking for something a little different, Die Lit also features guest appearances from Lil Uzi Vert and AAP Rocky.

Upcoming Hip Hop Albums

There are a few upcoming hip hop albums that you should keep an eye out for. The first album is by J. Cole and is set to be released on April 20th. The album is called “K.O.D.” and features 12 tracks. The second album is by Logic and is set to be released on May 5th. The album is called “Bobby Tarantino II” and features 16 tracks.

J. Cole – 4 Your Eyez Only

On December 9th, 2016, J. Cole released his fourth studio album, 4 Your Eyez Only. The record was largely inspired by the death of a close friend, and features personal and introspective lyrics backed by a mix of soulful R&B and hard-hitting hip-hop production. While Cole’s previous releases have often been compared to the works of Nas and Kendrick Lamar, 4 Your Eyez Only finds the rapper branching out into new territory, with more experimental tracks like “Immortal” and “Deja Vu” showcasing his continued growth as an artist.

Kendrick Lamar – DAMN.

On April 7, Kendrick Lamar released his much-anticipated fourth studio album, DAMN. The LP serves as a follow-up to his 2015 album To Pimp a Butterfly and 2016 release Untitled Unmastered., and features guest appearances from Rihanna, U2, and Zacari. Lamar has been praised for DAMN.’s lyrical depth and diverse sound, with many calling it his best album yet.

Macklemore – Gemini

Macklemore returns with his first album in 12 years. “Gemini” is a collection of 14 tracks that touch on a wide range of topics, from Macklemore’s sobriety to social issues to fatherhood. The album features guest appearances from Offset, Lil Yachty, Skylar Grey and Ed Sheeran.

Tyler, the Creator – Scum Fuck Flower Boy

Tyler, the Creator is back with his highly-anticipated fourth studio album, Scum Fuck Flower Boy. The Odd Future frontman has been relatively quiet since the release of Cherry Bomb in 2015, but he’s been hard at work on his latest project. Flower Boy is a departure from Tyler’s previous work, exploring themes of love and loneliness. The album features guest appearances from Frank Ocean, A$AP Rocky, and Lily Allen.
