Still riding high off the success of his last album, To Pimp a Butterfly, Kendrick Lamar is set to release a new album in 2016. Details are scarce so far, but it is sure to be one of the most talked-about releases of the year.

Drake – Views From the 6

Drake’s fourth studio album is one of the most highly anticipated releases of 2016. The album was originally slated for release in 2015, but was pushed back to allow for more time in the studio. Views From the 6 is sure to be packed with hits, and will likely cement Drake’s place as one of the biggest names in hip hop.

Chance the Rapper – Surf

Chance the Rapper’s debut album, Acid Rap, was one of the most acclaimed hip hop albums of 2013, and he has been teasing a follow-up for some time now. Surf, which features contributions from Donnie Trumpet and The Social Experiment, is finally set to be released in 2016. If it lives up to the hype, it could be one of the year’s best albums.

Earl Sweatshirt – I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside: An Album by Earl Sweatshirt

Earl Sweatshirt’s sophomore album is one of the most hotly anticipated hip hop releases of 2016. The Odd Future member has been teasing the album for months now, and it is finally set to drop in March. With its dark and introspective subject matter, I Don’t Like Shit… is sure to be one of the most talked-about hip hop albums of the year.

-Kendrick Lamar: The Compton, CA native is one of the hottest names in hip hop right now, and he’s kicking off 2016 with a bang by embarking on a massive North American tour. Kendrick will be performing songs from his critically-acclaimed album To Pimp a Butterfly, as well as hits from his earlier releases good kid, m.A.A.d city and Section.80.

-Drake: Another big name in hip hop, Drake will also be touring North America in support of his latest album Views From the 6. The Canadian rapper will be performing songs from Views as well as classics from his previous albums Thank Me Later, Take Care and Nothing Was the Same.

-Future: Atlanta-based rapper Future is also hitting the road in support of his latest release, EVOL. Future will be joined on tour by opening acts Ty Dolla $ign and Migos, making for one can’t-miss show.
