Rihanna

Rihanna, Chris Brown’s former girlfriend, is a Barbadian singer, songwriter, and actress. Born in Saint Michael and raised in Bridgetown, Barbados, Rihanna moved to the United States at the age of 16 to pursue a recording career under the guidance of record producer Evan Rogers. She subsequently signed a contract with Def Jam Recordings after auditioning for its then-president, hip hop producer and rapper Jay Z. In 2005, Rihanna rose to fame with the release of her debut studio album Music of the Sun and its follow-up A Girl like Me (2006), which charted on the top 10 of the US Billboard 200 and respectively produced the singles “Pon de Replay” and “SOS”. Her fifth studio album Loud (2010) became her second consecutive album to reach number one on the US Billboard 200 while spawning hits such as “Only Girl (In The World)”, “What’s My Name?”, and “S&M”. The Barbadian singer released her sixth studio album Talk That Talk (2011) in November 2011 while still maintaining high sales with its three number one singles including “We Found Love”. Her seventh studio album Unapologetic was released in 2012 containing songs such as “Diamonds”, which peaked atop many charts worldwide including becoming her twelfth Hot 100 number-one single. In 2013 she became engaged to Canadian rapper Drake; their brief relationship would later end. Throughout 2014 she had success with hit songs such as “The Monster” featuring American rapper Eminem which topped several charts worldwide.
