“Enter Sandman” is a song by American heavy metal band Metallica. It was released as the first single from their self-titled fifth album, Metallica in 1991. The music was written by frontman James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich, and the lyrics were written by Hetfield.

The song has been covered by a number of artists, including Avenged Sevenfold, Megadeth, Anthrax, Pantera, and Stone Sour. In 2009, “Enter Sandman” was inducted into both the Grammy Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The song is one of Metallica’s most popular songs; it was the seventh best-selling rock song in history as of 2014. In 2007, Rolling Stone placed “Enter Sandman” at number 435 on their list of “The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time”. “Raining Blood” is a song by American thrash metal band Slayer. It was released as the lead single from their 1986 album Reign in Blood. The lyrics are about impending doom, and the music has been described as “one of the most functioning,evil-sounding Metal anthems of all time”. In 2004, “Raining Blood” was ranked number 426 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. In 2009, it was ranked number 1 on VH1’s list of the 100 Greatest Hard Rock Songs.

Megadeth- “Symphony of Destruction”

“Symphony of Destruction” is a song by American heavy metal band Megadeth, released as a single from their fifth studio album, Countdown to Extinction (1992). The song peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and No. 44 on the Hot 100 Airplay chart. An accompanying music video was nominated for Best Metal/Hard Rock Video at the 1993 MTV Video Music Awards. The song has been included in multiple Megadeth compilation albums and has been covered by a number of artists.

Anthrax- “Indians”

This song is off of Anthrax’s third studio album, Among the Living. The song was written by guitarist Scott Ian in honor of Native Americans. The song peaked at number 11 on Billboard’s Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart in 1987.

Pantera- “Walk”

This song is from the album Vulgar Display of Power, released in 1992. “Walk” is one of Pantera’s most popular songs, and it is often used as a pump-up song before sporting events. The lyrics are about never giving up and continuing to walk forward no matter what happens.
