If you’re looking for some great psychedelic rock bands that don’t use drugs, look no further! This list includes some of the best psychedelic rock bands around that don’t rely on drugs to create their music.

The Beatles

The Beatles were an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960. With members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, they became widely regarded as the greatest and most influential group of the time. In their native United Kingdom, between 1962 and 1970, the Beatles released twelve studio albums, thirteen extended plays (EPs) and twenty-two singles. The band’s break-up in 1970 was a cultural shock that produced an avalanche of reaction to their music.

Despite not using drugs themselves, the Beatles’ music was strongly influenced by the drug culture of the time. Drugs such as LSD were having a significant impact on popular music at the time, and many of the band’s songs were written while Lennon and McCartney were under its influence.

The Beach Boys

The Beach Boys are an American rock band formed in Hawthorne, California, in 1961. The group’s original lineup consisted of brothers Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and their friend Al Jardine. The Beach Boys began as a garage band led by Brian Wilson, but they quickly gained popularity with their unique blend of close harmonies and surf-inspired melodies. Though they were initially overshadowed by the British Invasion bands of the 1960s, The Beach Boys managed to stay relevant through the decade with hits like “Good Vibrations” and “Surfin’ USA.” In the 1970s, the group struggled to find its place in the changing music landscape, but they made a comeback in the 1980s with the album “The Beach Boys Love You.” In recent years, The Beach Boys have been overshadowed by Brian Wilson’s mental health issues and disagreements between Mike Love and other members of the band, but they continue to tour and perform to this day.

The Beach Boys are considered one of the most influential bands of all time, and they are often cited as an inspiration by other artists. They are also one of the best-selling bands of all time, with over 100 million records sold worldwide.

Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd is often considered one of the most important and influential psychedelic rock bands of all time, and yet they never actually used drugs. Despite this, the band was able to tap into something that many other bands weren’t able to at the time, and they created some of the most iconic and timeless music in the process.

Led Zeppelin

Psychedelic rock, also referred to as acid rock, is a subgenre of rock music that emerged in the mid-1960s. Psychedelic music is intended to replicate and enhance the mind-altering experiences of psychedelic drugs, most notably LSD.

Despite the name, not all psychedelic rock bands use drugs. In fact, many chose to steer clear of mind-altering substances altogether. Below is a list of some of the most well-known psychedelic rock bands that don’t use drugs.

-Led Zeppelin: One of the most commercially successful bands of all time, Led Zeppelin was formed in 1968 and consists of Robert Plant (vocals), Jimmy Page (guitar), John Paul Jones (bass) and John Bonham (drums). The band’s sound was rooted in blues and influenced by artists such as Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf.

While Led Zeppelin is often associated with drug use, the band members were actually fairly clean-cut. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Robert Plant said that he “never touched LSD,” and Jimmy Page has said that he only did it once “to see what it was like.” The rest of the band members have also spoken out against drug use, with John Paul Jones saying that he “didn’t want to end up like Brian Jones,” and John Bonham stating that he “didn’t want anything to do with drugs.”

The Who

One of the most influential and iconic bands of all time, The Who didn’t shy away from discussing drugs in their music, but they were never a band that used them. In fact, founder Pete Townshend was always very outspoken about his disdain for drug use, despite the fact that many of his peers were indulging.
