The Red Rocks Music schedule for 2015 is out, and there are some great shows lined up! Here are some of the highlights:

Bela Fleck and the Flecktones – May 15
One of the world’s most innovative and acclaimed banjo players, Bela Fleck has collaborated with everyone from Chick Corea to the New York Philharmonic. He brings his hugely popular band, The Flecktones, to Red Rocks for one night only.

Tony Bennett – June 2
Legendary crooner Tony Bennett celebrates his 88th birthday this year, and he’s still going strong! Don’t miss your chance to see this musical icon in person.

John Prine – June 12 & 13
Singer-songwriter John Prine is a true original, with a career spanning more than 40 years. He’s a favorite among critics and fans alike, and you can catch him performing at Red Rocks for two nights in a row.

Venue Information

Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a naturally formed, world-famous outdoor venue just fifteen miles west of Denver. The Amphitheatre is owned and operated by the City and County of Denver. Red Rocks hosts numerous musical events throughout the year and is world-renowned for its fantastic acoustics.

The Amphitheatre has a capacity of 9,525 people. The venue opens one hour before show time for seating. General admission tickets allow access to the seating area on a first come, first served basis. For most shows, children five years of age and under are admitted free if they sit on a ticket holder’s lap.

There are numerous restaurants and concessions located near the Amphitheatre, as well as several ATMs. Red Rocks does not allow outside food or beverages to be brought into the venue, with the exception of two sealed water bottles per person.

Getting There

Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a rock structure near Morrison, Colorado, where concerts are given in the summer. It is noted for its novel acoustics and being one of the most beautiful venues in the world for music. To get to Red Rocks, take Exit 252 off of I-70 west of Denver and follow the signs.

Parking and Directions

Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a naturally formed, world-famous outdoor venue just fifteen miles west of Denver. The Amphitheatre is owned and operated by the City and County of Denver.

In order to protect the Red Rocks Park environment and provide a safe concert experience for all our patrons, vehicles are permitted to park in the main Red Rocks Parking Lot on a first come, first served basis. When the main Parking Lot is full, vehicles are directed to satellite parking areas.

What to Bring

Packing for a show at Red Rocks is a bit different than packing for your average concert. Shows at Red Rocks are outdoors, so you need to be prepared for any kind of weather.

Here are some things to remember when packing for a show at Red Rocks:
-Pack for the weather: check the forecast in advance and pack accordingly. Bring a jacket or blanket if it might be cold, and sunscreen and a hat if it might be sunny.
-Wear comfortable shoes: you will be doing a lot of walking, and you want to be sure your shoes can handle it.
-Bring water: staying hydrated is important, especially in the heat of summer. Bring a water bottle that you can refill at the water fountains around the venue.
-Leave your valuables at home: there’s no need to bring your purse or wallet, as there are no vendors inside the venue. You can leave your phone and camera in your car, or secure them in a small bag that you can carry with you.
