Black Uhuru- Anthem

Formed in 1972, Black Uhuru was one of the first reggae groups to gain international success. The group’s lineup has changed several times over the years, with Derrick “Duckie” Simpson being the only constant member. The group gained prominence in the early 1980s with their album Red, which won the first-ever Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album in 1985. Their follow-up album, Anthem, was released in 1986 and is considered by many to be their best work.
