Featuring a brand new score of classic rock ‘n’ roll hits from the 1950s, ROCK AROUND THE BLOCK is a rollicking good time for all ages!

The Musical Script

Rock Around the Block: The Musical is a family-friendly musical comedy set in the fictional town of Rocksville. The show follows the town’s mayor, who is trying to save the town’s annual music festival from being cancelled. Meanwhile, the town’s residents are preparing for the biggest rock concert ever. With original songs and dances, the show is sure to get your toes tapping.

The Characters

In this high-energy musical, there are four main characters on stage throughout the show. In addition, there are several smaller roles and an ensemble made up of students from the local high school.

The four main characters are:

MIKE: The father of the family. He’s a hard worker and loves his family, but he’s struggling to keep up with the changing times.

JENNIFER: Mike’s wife. She’s a stay-at-home mom who is trying to find her place in the world outside of her home.

MANDY: Their teenage daughter. She’s going through all the usual teenage angst and is Trying to find her place in the world.

BRANDON: Their teenage son. He’s a good kid, but he’s starting to rebel against his parents and their rules.

The Set
