Season 5 of Shameless is set to return on January 10, 2016, and fans are eagerly awaiting the return of the Gallaghers and their wildly dysfunctional lives.

As with every season, there are bound to be some great new songs featured on the show, and we’ve compiled a list of some of the best tracks that you can expect to hear over the course of Season 5.

From up-and-coming artists to established hits, these are the songs that you’ll be wanting to add to your playlist.

“All I Wanna Do” by Sheryl Crow

This song plays in the very first episode of Season 5 and is the perfect introduction to the new season. The lyrics talk about how the singer just wants to have some fun, and that’s exactly what Shameless is all about. The characters are always getting into some sort of trouble, and they always find a way to have a good time no matter what. This song is the perfect anthem for the show.

“You’re the Best Thing” by The Staple Singers

This soulful classic from The Staple Singers plays over the montage in Episode 12, as the Gallaghers prepare for Frank’s funeral. The song perfectly captures the bittersweet feeling of the scene, as the family says goodbye to their father even as they acknowledge all the ways he let them down.

“I Can’t Make You Love Me” by Bonnie Raitt

In the fifth season of Shameless, “I Can’t Make You Love Me” by Bonnie Raitt is featured in the episode “Doubt.” This song plays while Lip is trying to get Amanda to forgive him and they are talking in her car.

The lyrics of the song seem to reflect what Lip is feeling in the moment as he tries to convince Amanda to give him another chance. He acknowledges that he has done wrong and that he can’t make her love him, but he pleads with her to just give him one more chance. In the end, Amanda does forgive Lip and they continue their relationship.

“I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston

In the season 5 finale of Shameless, “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston is played during a key scene. The song perfectly captures the feeling of the moment, and has since become one of the show’s most iconic songs.

“Stand by Me” by Ben E. King

One of the most popular and influential R&B singers of the 1960s, Ben E. King’s records also helped to shape the sound of early rock & roll. “Stand by Me” was his biggest hit, a Top Ten pop smash that also became a recurrent staple of oldies radio. In Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, it was ranked 121st.

“Heaven” by Bryan Adams

“Heaven” is a song by Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams. It was released in September 1985 as the first single from his fourth album, Reckless. It peaked at number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in February 1986, becoming his second number-one single in the United States after “Cuts Like a Knife” in 1983, as well as his first song to enter the top ten on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, where it peaked at number six. In 2008, “Heaven” was ranked 38th on VH1’s 100 Greatest Songs of the ’80s. The song has been covered by various artists including Shawn Mendes and Pat Monahan.
