Plaid

Formed in 1991 by Andy Turner and Ed Handley, English electronic music duo Plaid began as part of the UK acid techno scene. They were signed to Warp Records in 1993 and have released nine studio albums, three compilation albums, one mix album, and one EP. Plaid’s unique sound is a blend of organic and synthetic textures, often with a visitors from space quality to it.

Autechre

Autechre are an English electronic music duo consisting of Rob Brown and Sean Booth, both from Rochdale, Greater Manchester. Formed in 1987, they are one of the most prolific and acclaimed acts in the history of IDM and experimental electronic music, with their 1995 album LP5 often cited as a groundbreaking work in the genre. Booth and Brown began releasing music together as Autechre in 1987, with the singles “Anvil Vapre”/”Etat_s_util” and “Basscadet”/”Garbagemx36”. They have since released thirteen studio albums, two EP collections, and various singles as Autechre on Warp Records.

In addition to their work as Autechre, Booth & Brown have participated in a number of other side-projects:
-Hecq: A dark ambient/drone side-project that has released four albums to date.
-Rob Brown has also composed soundtracks for video games such as Esper 2 and 13th Soul.
-Sean Booth has contributed remixes under the alias Mantis to tracks by Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails & David Bowie.
