The Sun is the eleventh studio album by American hip hop band The Roots, released on September 3, 2014 by Def Jam Recordings. It is their first album in which rapper Black Thought drops a solo track since 2006’s Game Theory and their first album on Def Jam after leaving their previous label, Okayplayer Records.
