Hopsin

Hopsin is an American rapper and record producer from Los Angeles, California. He was born on July 18, 1985 in Los Angeles, and started rapping at the age of 16. Hopsin is well-known for his role in the rap group Funk Volume, which he founded with Damien Ritter in 2008. The group released their first album, “Funk Volume 2012”, in 2012. The album was a commercial success and helped launch Hopsin’s career. He has since released three solo albums, “Raw”, “Knock Madness”, and “No Shame”. Hopsin is known for his extreme lyrical content and dark sense of humor.

SwizZz

SwizZz is an American rapper from Pomona, California. He is a member of the hip hop group Funk Volume, and he has released one solo album and two EPs.

SwizZz began his career in 2009, when he was featured on the song “Ride wit Me” by Kottonmouth Kings. He then signed with the independent record label Funk Volume and released his debut EP, Haywire, in 2011. His first solo album, High Definition, was released in 2012.

SwizZz has been described as a “lyrical genius” and “one of the most talented rappers in the game”. He is known for his fast delivery and complex rhyme patterns.

Dizzy Wright

Dizzy Wright is a hip hop artist from Las Vegas, Nevada. He is signed to Funk Volume, a record label founded by tech entrepreneur Damon Riddick. Dizzy Wright’s debut album, Smokeout Conversations, was released in 2012 to positive reviews. His sophomore album, The Growing Process, was released in 2015 and peaked at number 8 on the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

Jarren Benton

From the South to the West Coast, Jarren Benton has arrived. Hailing from Decatur, Georgia, the budding rhyme-slinger is currently one of the most celebrated young talents in the Hip Hop community. His first national exposure came from the Funk Volume 2012 Tour Compilation with his song “Skitzo,” which caught the ears of many new listeners. Shortly after, he released his Freebasing with Kevin Bacon mixtape and followed with a remix featuring Tech N9ne. The project helped him gain even more momentum as he continued to tour relentlessly and dropped his My Grandmas Basement album in 2013.

Funk Volume took notice of Benton’s exceptional work ethic and grind, and signed him to the label in early 2014. The very next month, he was included on Hopsin’s Knock Madness album on the fan favorite track “Old Friends Back (ft. Mars).” The success of Knock Madness opened even more doors for Benton, as he was invited to be a part of XXL’s 2014 Freshman Class alongside artists like Chance The Rapper, Vic Mensa, Troy Ave and Rich Homie Quan.

Most recently, Jarren Benton released his long-awaited album My Grandmas Basement on June 24th, 2014. The project includes appearances from RZA, Hopsin & FunkVolume label-mate Dizzy Wright as well guest verses from Search Tha City & Jonah Cruise. My Grandmas Basement is available now on all digital retailers & streaming services including iTunes & Spotify.
