So you want to get into music production? Great! But what do you need? In this blog post, we’ll go over the essential equipment and software you’ll need to get started.

Music software

If you want to get serious about music production, you’re going to need some software. In this article, we’ll recommend a few different pieces of software that will help you get started.

First, you’ll need a digital audio workstation, or DAW. This is the main software that you’ll use to create and produce your music. We recommend Reaper, which is a powerful and affordable DAW that’s perfect for beginners. Once you have your DAW set up, you’ll need some plugins to add different sounds and effects to your music. We recommend purchasing a plugin bundle like the ones offered by Waves or iZotope. These bundles usually include a wide variety of different plugins, so they’re perfect for getting started. Finally, you’ll need a good set of virtual instruments to create your melodies and basslines. We recommend the Native Instruments Komplete 10 bundle, which includes a huge range of high-quality virtual instruments. With these three pieces of software, you’ll be well on your way to making great music!

MIDI controllers

If you’re serious about music production, you’re going to need a MIDI controller. A MIDI controller is an input device that allows you to control your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) with physical buttons, faders, and knobs.
