Entertainer of the Year

The 2015 Country Music Association Awards are being held on November 4, 2015, at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. This will be the 49th edition of the annual awards show and will be broadcast live on ABC at 8:00 pm ET.

This year’s nominees for Entertainer of the Year are as follows:

Male Vocalist of the Year

The 2015 Country Music Association Awards were held on November 4, 2015, at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The 51st annual awards show was hosted for the ninth time by country music singer Brad Paisley and television personality Carrie Underwood. This year’s show was dedicated to country music singer-songwriter Craig Morgan whose son Jerry Greer drowned on July 10, 2016.

Male Vocalist of the Year went to Jason Aldean for the fourth consecutive year. Female Vocalist of the Year was won by Miranda Lambert for the sixth consecutive year, making her tied with Reba McEntire for the most wins in that category. Lambert also won Song of the Year for her single “Automatic.”

Female Vocalist of the Year

The Female Vocalist of the Year is a award presented annually by the Country Music Association. The award goes to a female artist who has made significant contributions to the country music industry. The winner is selected by a panel of music industry experts.

This year’s nominees are:

Vocal Duo of the Year

The Brothers Osborne won the award for Vocal Duo of the Year.

Vocal Group of the Year

The Vocal Group of the Year is awarded to the country music group with the best vocal performance of the year. The award was first presented in 1966, and has been presented every year since.

The 2015 Country Music Association Awards were announced on November 4, 2015. The Vocal Group of the Year was awarded to Little Big Town.

New Artist of the Year

Winner: Chris Stapleton
It’s been a banner year for Chris Stapleton. Not only did he co-write six of the songs on his solo debut, “Traveller,” but he also won three CMA Awards, including New Artist of the Year.

Album of the Year

The 2015 Country Music Association Awards were held on November 4, 2015, at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The show was hosted by Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley for the eighth consecutive year.[1] Florida Georgia Line won three awards including Single of the Year for “MORE” and Vocal Duo of the Year. Little Big Town won Album of the Year award for Pain Killer while Chris Stapleton won Male Vocalist of the Year, New Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for “Nobody to Blame”. Miranda Lambert won Female Vocalist of the year for a record sixth time. Ashley Monroe won CMA Broadcast Personality-Medium Market Radio, Brett Eldredge won CMA Music Video of the Year for “Lose My Mind” and Sam Hunt’s Body Like a Back Road was named CMA Musical Event of the Year.

Single of the Year

“Die a Happy Man” by Thomas Rhett won Single of the Year.

Song of the Year

The Song of the Year award is given to the songwriter(s) of a single track. The 2015 Song of the Year goes to Little Big Town for their emotional ballad “Girl Crush.”

Musical Event of the Year

The CMA Musical Event of the Year is an award presented to country music artists for a collaborative musical event. Originally titled the International Event of the Year, it was first presented by the Country Music Association in 2005. In 2014, the award was renamed to Musical Event of the Year. The original award was open to any type of recording that included two or more country artists from any country, but only those with at least 50% country music content were eligible for the renamed award.

The award is given to both the artist and producer(s) of the event.
