The Statler Brothers

The Statler Brothers are an iconic country music group who are getting back together for a reunion tour! The group is made up of brothers Harold and Don Reid, along with their cousin Lester “Roadhog” Moran. The tour will kick off on May 1st in Nashville, TN and will make stops in cities all across the United States.

The group’s history

The Statler Brothers were an American country music, gospel, and vocal group. The quartet was formed in 1955 performing locally and, in 1964, they began singing backup for Johnny Cash. Originally performing gospel music at local churches, the group soon began Exceptionally popular on the country music circuit in the 1970s and 1980s, the Statler Brothers became one of the genre’s biggest acts, beginning with their 1974 hit ” Bed of Roses.”

The group continued to release successful singles and albums throughout the ’80s and ’90s. Inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2002, The Statler Brothers retired in 2002 but occasionally reunited to perform. They released a new album in 2014 and announced their final reunion tour in 2015.

The group’s reunion

The Statler Brothers are an American country music, gospel, and vocal group. The quartet was founded in 1955 performing locally and, in 1964, they began singing backup for Johnny Cash. Originally performing as the backup group for Johnny Cash, The Statler Brothers signed with Mercury Records in 1965. Despite little initial success, they had a major hit with Flowers on the Wall in early 1966. It reached No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles chart and propelled their first album to No. 17 on the Billboard Country Albums chart by the end of 1966. The song won a Grammy award for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group in 1967.

For over four decades, The Marshall Tucker Band has been entertaining fans with their unique brand of Southern rock. The band has gone through several lineup changes over the years, but they continue to tour and release new music. This year, they’re going on a reunion tour with some of their original members. If you’re a fan of country music, you won’t want to miss this.

The group’s history

The Marshall Tucker Band is an American rock band from Spartanburg, South Carolina. The group’s blend of country, rock, blues, and jazz helped establish the Southern rock genre in the early 1970s. The Marshall Tucker Band was founded in 1972 by lead singer and guitarist Doug Gray, guitarist Toy Caldwell, bassist Tommy Caldwell, drummer Paul Riddle and keyboardist George McCorkle.

The band’s first practice took place on March 20, 1972, in the basement of Doug Gray’s old house. After playing their first gig together on May 28, the band quickly began gaining popularity in Spartanburg. They soon began playing at other venues in the area such as The Green Rabbit and The Spirit Club. The Marshall Tucker Band signed with Capricorn Records and released their self-titled debut album in 1973.

The album contained their first hit single “Can’t You See”, which peaked at #73 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The band continued to tour throughout the United States during the 1970s. They also released a string of successful albums such as Where We All Belong (1974), Carolina Dreams (1977), and Together Forever (1979).

The Marshall Tucker Band experienced a series of lineup changes in the 1980s. Toy Caldwell left the group in 1983 to pursue a solo career. He was replaced by guitarist Rick Willis. George McCorkle also left the band in 1983 and was replaced by keyboardist Mark Holmes. The group continued to release albums throughout the 1980s such as Running Like the Wind (1982) and Still Holdin’ On (1986).

The Marshall Tucker Band reunited in 1993 for a series of concerts to celebrate their 21st anniversary. The reunion was short-lived as Tommy Caldwell died of liver cancer shortly afterwards on April 28, 1993. The band once again reunited in 1996 for a series of concerts to celebrate their 25th anniversary.

In 2000, Toy Caldwell died of complications from liver surgery. He was replaced by his brother Freddy Caldwell on guitar. The band continues to tour throughout the United States and has released two albums since 2000: Happiness Is You (2002) and Eatin’ It Up-Live! (2006).

The group’s reunion

Alabama

This legendary country music band got their start in the 1970s with their unique blend of country, pop, and rock. They had a string of hits in the 1980s and early 1990s, including “Mountain Music,” “The Closer You Get,” and “She and I.” The band announced a reunion tour in 2014, and they’ve been touring ever since. If you’re a fan of country music, you won’t want to miss their reunion tour.

The group’s history

The group was formed in Fort Payne, Alabama, in 1969, by vocalists Ronnie Van Zant and Gary Rossington, guitaristsAllen Collins and Larry Junstrom, bassist Leon Wilkeson, and drummer Bob Burns. Collins, Junstrom, Wilkeson, and Burns played together in various combinations in several different local bands before settling on the name Lynyrd Skynyrd in May 1972. The following month the band made their first public appearance at a picnic in Jacksonville.

In October 1972 Lynyrd Skynyrd self-released an eponymous album (often called (Pronounced ‘Lĕh-‘nérd ‘Skin-‘nérd), which sold more than 30 copies. The album’s reviews were positive and the band began to draw a small but loyal following. The group opened for other acts such as The Who, the Allman Brothers Band, and Wet Willie throughout 1973.

By 1974 Lynyrd Skynyrd had become one of the most popular bands in the country. That year they released their second album,, Second Helping. The album featured their signature song “Sweet Home Alabama,” which quickly became a Southern rock anthem. Throughout the 1970s Lynyrd Skynyrd continued to tour extensively and release successful albums.,pronounced ‘lĕh-‘nérd ‘skin-‘nérd), (Second Helping), (One More from the Road).

In 1977 tragedy struck when three members of the band – Ronnie Van Zant, Steve Gaines, and his sister Cassie – were killed in a plane crash near Gillsburg, Mississippi. The remaining members of Lynyrd Skynyrd decided to carry on and released (Street Survivors) just a few days after the crash. The band went on hiatus for several years after the death of Ronnie Van Zant but eventually reformed with new lead vocalist Johnny Van Zant – Ronnie’s younger brother – in 1987., (Street Survivors)

The group’s reunion

The group’s reunion will be one of the most talked about events in country music this year. Alabama, one of the most successful country groups of all time, is getting back together after a 15-year break. The band has announced that they will be reuniting for a series of concert dates in 2019. This will be the first time the group has performed together since 2004.

The band was founded in 1969 by lead singer Randy Owen and his cousin Teddy Gentry. They were soon joined by guitarist Jeff Cook. The band’s first album, “My Home’s in Alabama,” was released in 1972. It contained the hit single “My Home’s in Alabama.” The band’s next album, “Feels So Right,” was released in 1981. It contained the hits “Love in the First Degree” and “Old Flame.”

The band took a hiatus in the late 1980s, but reunited in 1997 for a series of concert dates. They released a new album, “When It All Goes South,” in 2000. The album contained the hits “She Ain’t Your Ordinary Girl” and “Tennessee River Run.” The group went on another hiatus after the release of the album.

Alabama has had over 30 number one singles on the country charts. They have won countless awards, including multiple Grammy Awards and CMA Awards. They were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005.
