“Monster Mash” is a song written by Bobby “Boris” Pickett and Lenny Capello in 1962, which was first recorded and released by Bobby “Boris” Pickett and The Crypt-Kickers on the album The Original Monster Mash and other Dinosaur Songs Party Hits. The “Monster Mash” single hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 on October 20, 1962. It has been a perennial Halloween favorite ever since.

“The Witch Doctor”

This popular Halloween song was written by Ross Bagdasarian, Sr. in 1958 and made famous by The Chipmunks. “The Witch Doctor” peaked at #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in October of that year.

“This Is Halloween”

This Is Halloween is a song from the 1993 film, The Nightmare Before Christmas. It was composed by Danny Elfman and performed by the film’s cast. The song introduces the film’s Pumpkin King, Jack Skellington, and his desire to take over Christmas.
