The Limiñanas are a French-Catalan duo who formed in 2009. They have released five albums to date, the most recent being 2018’s Shadow People. The band is known for their catchy, 60s-influenced garage rock tunes.

2. Hangman’s Chair
Hangman’s Chair is a four-piece band from Paris who mix elements of sludge metal, stoner rock and punk into their music. They have released three albums since forming in 2006, the most recent being 2016’s This Is Not Supposed to Be Positive.

3. Mars Red Sky
Mars Red Sky is a power trio from Bordeaux who formed in 2007. They have released four albums to date, with their most recent being 2018’s The Light Between Us. Their music is heavily influenced by classic hard rock and Psychedelic Rock bands such as Black Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd.
4. Wattum
Wattum is a three-piece bassless band from Nantes who formed in 2011. They have released two albums to date – 2013’s Wattum and 2016’s Alive – both of which are considered essential listening for fans of 90s alternative rock bands like Nirvana and Soundgarden.
5. Aquaserge
Aquaserge is an experimental indie rock band from Paris who formed in 2002. To date they have released five albums, with 2016’s Sergent Blisterheart considered by many to be their masterpiece. The band is known for their sprawling, jam-based tracks that often clock in at over 10 minutes long.
6 . Fakear
Fakear is a 25-year-old producer from Tours who creates intoxicating electronic beats blended with organic instrumentation and samples from all over the world. He has released two full-length albums – 2014’s Animal and 2017’s All Glows – as well as a slew of EPs and singles
