Pop music has a language all its own. It can be sincere, hopeful, sexy, angry or simply meant to make you move. In 2015, the best Latin pop came from a mix of veteran superstars and fresh faces making their marks on the ever-changing landscape of pop music.

Juanes took home top honors at the Latin Grammys in November with his album “MTV Unplugged,” which featured a mix of new songs and some of his biggest hits performed acoustic with a full orchestra. The Colombian rocker has always been unafraid to experiment with different sounds and styles, and “MTV Unplugged” is his most ambitious project to date.

Mexican pop duo Jesse & Joy also won big at the Latin Grammys, taking home three awards including Song of the Year for “Ecos de Amor.” The siblings have been making beautiful music together for more than a decade, and their latest album “Un Besito Mas” is proof that they’re only getting better with age.

Pop princess Gloria Trevi made a triumphant return to the charts in 2015 with her first studio album in six years, “La Gran Señora.” The Mexican singer has always been known for her provocatively personal lyrics, and she doesn’t hold back on this record, addressing everything from motherhood to infidelity.
