The Latin Billboard Music Awards is an annual awards show that celebrates the best in Latin music. This year’s show will be broadcast live on Thursday, April 29th at 8pm ET/PT on Telemundo.

Bad Bunny leads the pack with 15 nominations, followed by Ozuna with 14. J Balvin, Romeo Santos, and Daddy Yankee are tied for third place with 13 nominations each.

The show will feature performances by some of the biggest names in Latin music, including Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Ozuna, Romeo Santos, Daddy Yankee, and more.

With eight nods, Bad Bunny is the most nominated act at the 2021 Latin Billboard Music Awards. The Puerto Rican singer, who is up for top Latin artist of the year, is also nominated for top Latin album for “YHLQMDLG” and top Latin song for “Dakiti.” Bad Bunny’s other nominations include top Latin male artist, top Latin album sales artist and top streaming song.

J Balvin

J Balvin is a Colombian reggaeton singer who was nominated for four awards at the 2021 Latin Billboard Music Awards, including Top Latin Album of the Year for his album Colores.

Ozuna

Ozuna is a Puerto Rican singer, songwriter and actor who was born on March 13, 1992, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. His full name is Juan Carlos Ozuna Rosado. He has five siblings and was raised by his single mother. At a young age, he began singing at his local church and later performed in various talent shows. In 2010, he uploaded some of his songs to SoundCloud and began to gain a following. In 2012, he signed with the record label Golden Family Records and released his debut single “Imaginándote”. He has since released several hit singles, including “Dile Que Tú Me Quieres”, “Te Vas”, “El Farsante” and “La Modelo”.

In 2017, Ozuna teamed up with DJ Snake for the song “Taki Taki”, which also featured Selena Gomez and Cardi B. The song became a global hit and peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Ozuna has also collaborated with other artists such as Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Nicky Jam, Anuel AA, Luis Fonsi and Romeo Santos.

Ozuna has won several awards throughout his career, including three Latin Grammy Awards and six Billboard Latin Music Awards. He was also nominated for three American Music Awards in 2018.

In 2020, Ozuna signed a multi-million dollar deal with Wisin & Yandel’s record label ‘Machete Music’. He is currently working on his third studio album which is set to be released in 2021.

Rosalia

Rosalia Vila Tobella, professionally known as Rosalía, is a Spanish singer, songwriter, record producer and occasional actress. Since 2017, she has released two studio albums, one mixtape and two EPs. Born and raised in Sant Esteve Sesrovires, a municipality in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, Rosalía began studying flamenco at an early age. When she was 17 years old, she moved to Madrid to develop her musical career. After several years working as a backup dancer and vocalist for different artists, she met producer El Guincho who helped her produce her first demo tracks.

Conclusion

After a night of great performances and even better music, the 2021 Latin Billboard Music Awards have come to a close. And, in true Bad Bunny fashion, the rapper closed out the show with a bang.

Bad Bunny took home 10 awards at the ceremony, making him the biggest winner of the night. He was followed closely by J Balvin, who took home nine awards, and Ozuna, who won eight.

Other big winners included Karol G (seven awards), Sech (four), and Zion & Lennox (three).

As for the evening’s performances, they did not disappoint. From Karol G’s emotional rendition of “Baila Baila Baila” to J Balvin’s high-energy performance of “Mi Gente,” there was something for everyone.

All in all, it was a night to remember. And we can’t wait to see what next year’s Latin Billboard Music Awards have in store.
