The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and has since been certified quadruple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Shakur’s life was cut short when he was murdered in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 1996. He was only 25 years old at the time of his death. Despite his relatively short career, Shakur is one of the best-selling music artists of all time; he has sold over 75 million records worldwide.
